Grace Church Exists

to Glorify God

In accord with 1 Peter 2:9, we recognize that everything we do is to bring God glory; our purpose is to make much of Him! We believe that being God-centered is of greater value than being man-centered. When we seek God’s glory above our own, we find ourselves fully satisfied.

by upholding the Gospel

In 1 Timothy 3:14-15 the church is referred to as the “pillar and buttress of the truth.” The
“truth” here refers to scriptural truth, gospel truth. For the church to be the “pillar and buttress of the truth” means at least three things: (1) we hold the true gospel as opposed to a false one; (2) we hold the gospel high as evangelists and disciplers; and (3) we hold the gospel strong as protectors/guardians.

by making disciples

In Matthew 28:18-20, often referred to as the great commission, Jesus calls the church to two tasks: (1) reaching; and (2) teaching. Reaching includes evangelism through individual and corporate church means. Teaching includes helping believers grow in their understanding of scripture, their walk with God, and their roles within the church.

by serving others

We believe that because Jesus has served us, we are not only able to serve others but called to serve others. We provide many formal opportunities for service while emphasizing that much service will be informally carried out by individual believers as needs arise before them.

Grace Community.png

by providing community

We understand that God has called His people to live in community with each other through corporate worship on Sundays and throughout the week in community groups. Community groups are made up of people who meet in homes all around Jackson County to provide discipleship, care, and mission fulfillment.
