Discipling

A disciple is a follower of Jesus.  In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus tells believers to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”  This great commission Jesus gives to all believers includes two responsibilities: reaching people (making disciples) and teaching people (discipling those who have come to believe).  Here’s an uncomfortable question, how are you personally involved in discipling, in helping believers grow as followers of Jesus? 

Beginning on Tuesday September 15th at 6:00 pm in room 119, we will be equipping you to begin or to better disciple others.  This 8 week EQUIP class will also serve as our training for a new discipling program where we couple new believers with a trained person from our church to move through the book, “Training: How Do I Grow as a Christian?”  If you are interested in this class, please indicate so on a communication/connect card or register on the app.
