Winter EQUIP Discipleship Class @ Grace

Through our EQUIP discipleship program we hope to help the saints grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ as they fellowship together. One 8-week class, “Introduction to Evangelism in a Post-Christian World”, is being offered/taught by Josh Warner in Room 119 downstairs during the Winter Session (Sundays, Jan. 23, Feb. 6-Mar. 20 @ 8:45 AM).

Class description: On any given day in any U.S. city, it is very likely to cross paths with  people ignorant, apathetic, skeptical, or even hostile towards the Christian faith. This is not a new phenomenon. While the gospel is still the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, we as a church should strive to get better at praying for our lost friends, developing relationships, and discussing our Christian convictions in culturally-relevant ways. Loosely based on the book “Evangelism in a Skeptical World” by Sam Chan, Grace is offering an introductory 8-week course answering questions such as: What is evangelism?  Why are we to do it?  What should I expect in this current climate?  How do I do evangelism in my everyday relationships? How do I respond with wisdom when someone challenges my faith? In this course, participants will be equipped to share the gospel in their personal spheres of influence through the use of books, videos, and discussions of real-world experiences. All are welcome to attend, no prior experience is required, and no one will be put on the spot.

If you plan on attending this class, please fill out a Communication Card at Grace on Sunday morning, write “Equip Class” on the front and drop the card in a Communication Box or an offering plate OR call the Church Office at 517-789-6155. We will also welcome any last-minute attenders on the morning of class.
